Warner Bros. Pictures has released the final trailer for their next film in the DC Extended Universe. Wonder Woman is scheduled to be released on June 2nd. Starring Gal Gadot in the title role, this new trailer shows us pieces of Princess Diana's early days before she meets Steve Trevor, played by Chris Pine, and is thrust into the modern world during the World War I.
Warner Bros. Pictures also shared the official synopsis for the film:
"Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny."
The trailer looks great, and it seems to have a healthy blend of mythology, action and humor before ending with that amazing Wonder Woman score, which never ceases to excite. For those who have been unhappy with the DCEU up to this point, the trailer looks very promising. However, some fans will tell you that they've been burned by great trailers before (I'm looking at you, Suicide Squad). DC would love nothing more than a strong outing from this and Justice League, which is due out later this year.
